Biography
Immersing himself in the roots of the genre and Rastafari culture in general, he immediately found work as a sound engineer and producer, working with artists like Gentleman and Ky-Mani Marley. Alborosie then began to write his own material, and by 2008, he had released his own debut full-length album Soul Pirate, which included the hits, “Herbalist”, “Kingston Town” and “Still Blazing”. In 2011, he received the top honors as Best Reggae Act in the MOBO Awards.
